She will speak on the Negro Leagues baseball history, the legacy of her grandfather (baseball legend Norman “Turkey” Stearnes), Major League Baseball’s inclusion of Negro League stats, the Jim Crow era, and the importance of love, family, unity, empowerment, advocacy, and perseverance. Food will be provided for attendees. This is a ticketed event. Tickets will be available at the information desk at both library locations beginning Tuesday, Jan. 21.
