Oak Hill Cemetery is located at 255 South Ave. Most of Battle Creek's pioneers are buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, including James and Ellen White, the co-founders of the Seventh Day Adventist church, and Sojourner Truth, abolitionist and equal rights campaigner. Food is an important part of Battle Creek’s history. In Oakhill, you’ll find W.K. Kellogg and John Harvey Kellogg, C.W. Post, and Bill Knapp. Tourists world-wide visit these historic grave sites each year.
